The professional guide shares in-depth knowledge about the flora and fauna as the group travels among the beautiful Baobab trees, which make Tarangire one of the most scenic regions on the Northern Circuit. After the extensive game drive, the safari travels to Karatu in the Ngorongoro highlands, where an optional walk in the local coffee plantations might be possible upon arrival. We spend the day on a safari and game viewing. Your safari vehicle will take you on extensive game drives in the Mara Triangle, which is located in the north-western part of the Masai Mara. An expanse of grasslands dotted with acacia trees dominates the landscape. As the wildebeests and zebras trek across the Mara River, you will see the greatest hurdle in their way. Tens of thousands of animals prepare to cross the river at the end of October and beginning of November, knowing there is possible death ahead as crocodiles lurk just below the surface of the water. There is nothing more gruesome than this. Besides hippos, hungry crocodiles, and other animals, the river is home to other animals throughout the year. You return to your Mara West Camp accommodation in the late afternoon, as the shadows lengthen.
